NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors crush New York Knicks

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Saturday's games in the NBA as the Golden State Warriors thrash the New York Knicks to eliminate them from playoff contention.

The Golden State Warriors extended their lead in the Western Conference by crushing the New York Knicks, officially eliminating their opponents from playoff contention.

Stephen Curry celebrated his 27th birthday by adding 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Warriors to a comfortable lead by half time, before keeping the points coming after the break.

The Washington Wizards dominated the second half as they came from behind for a win over the Sacramento Kings, giving them a third straight victory.

The Wizards were 21 points down during the third quarter, but John Wall led the comeback on his way to tying his highest score of the season.

The Utah Jazz continued their recent strong form with their fifth win in a row, beating the Detroit Pistons.

There was little between the two sides throughout, but Gordon Hayward set Trey Burke up for the go-ahead shot inside the final 15 seconds, keeping the team's longest unbeaten run of the campaign alive.

The Boston Celtics opened up an early lead before holding on for a narrow win over the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Tyler Zeller put the visitors ahead before George Hill added a season-high 30 to try to extend Indiana's seven-game winning run, but a couple of free throws from Brandon Bass in the final seconds sealed it for Boston.

The Memphis Grizzlies made a strong start to the second half in their game against the Milwaukee Bucks and held on for a win.

Courtney Lee led the scoring as the home side opened up a 17-point lead in the third quarter to help them survive a Bucks fightback in the fourth.

The Brooklyn Nets ended their four-game losing streak with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers, which saw six of their players finish in double figures.

Thaddeus Young led the way with 21 as the Nets surged ahead in the second half after a closely-fought opening two quarters at the Wells Fargo Center.

Results in full: Boston Celtics 93-89 Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings 97-113 Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets 94-87 Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks 83-96 Memphis Grizzlies, Detroit Pistons 85-88 Utah Jazz, New York Knicks 94-125 Golden State Warriors
