Indiana Pacers forward Paul George has said that his side's improved energy and urgency helped them to overcome the Miami Heat in game one of the Eastern Conference playoff finals.
The Pacers won out 107-96 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday, with six Indiana players – inclusive of George – getting into double figures.
"We played with a great energy tonight. That's been an area where we lacked in this postseason, being consistent with our energy and urgency to start games," George told reporters after the victory.
"I thought we brought that tonight, brought an edge, brought an aggression at both ends of the floor.
"When a play broke down, we made an extra effort to not just take what was available but we pushed the effort a little bit and that's where we were able to get a good lead on this team."
Game two between the sides gets underway in Indiana on Tuesday.
