John Calipari has dismissed suggestions that he is in line to take over the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
The Kentucky Wildcats head coach, who took his side to the final of the NCAA tournament before losing to the University of Connecticut on Monday, insists that he is not interested in replacing Mike D'Antoni in Los Angeles.
"The Lakers have a basketball coach," Calipari told reporters. "Kentucky has a basketball coach I got the best job in the country.
"I'm not going to even dignify that stuff."
Lakers coach D'Antoni has guided his team to a 25-52 record with just five games remaining in the season.
