The Miami Heat have announced the signing of guard Reggie Williams to help provide cover for Dwayne Wade.

Williams has spent five years in the NBA, including last season where he represented three different teams.

The veteran has appeared in 180 regular season career games, collecting an average of 8.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists on 19.7 minutes of court time.

The Heat will be hoping Williams will be able to build on statistics that have seen him shoot 46% from the field when he makes his debut next season.
