The Miami Heat completed an impressive weekend of NBA action as they denied the Detroit Pistons their fifth consecutive win of the season with a 110-95 victory at the Palace Of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons were looking to complete five straight wins, an effort not achieved by the side since 2009, but failed in the wake of some impressive play by LeBron James and Ray Allen, who saw the Heat march onto an away win.
James was in particularly impressive form having notched up 24 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, while Allen contributed 18 points towards the Miami cause.
The home side did have something to smile about, however, as second-year center Andre Drummond bagged his 15th double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
The victory sees the Heat take their record to 16-5 for the season.
