New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has reportedly been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Anthony has decided to have surgery on a left knee problem and will now not play until later this year when the 2015-16 season begins, according to ESPN.
The 30-year-old is said to have been dealing with soreness for several months and with the Knicks having the NBA's worst record, he has decided shut down for this season.
Anthony, who was the league's leading scorer in 2012-13, is averaging the sixth-best total this season with 24.2 points.
