Reports have suggested that the Portland Trail Blazers could be prepared to waive Terrel Harris before the beginning of their training camp later this month.
The 26-year-old only joined the Blazers in July but his early career in Portland has been dominated by the news that he will miss the first five games of the season because of a drugs violation.
Head coach Terry Stotts has made the decision to release Harris and the player will be informed in the next couple of weeks, according to the Oregon Live.
Harris has only made 42 NBA appearances during spells with the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans.
