Tim Duncan has said that the San Antonio Spurs' 16-game winning streak is a "great challenge" to the team.
The side's current run has allowed them to move back to the top of the Western Conference, where they are now three wins clear of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Following last night's 133-102 win over the Denver Nuggets, the power forward told reporters: "This [winning streak] is a great challenge. It's a big challenge. People can get lackadaisical and look past certain games. We've done a good job of not doing that.
"[Coach Gregg Popovich is] a teacher and wants to teach. He wants the good and the bad. Even through this streak, he's been on us a tremendous amount, making sure we don't rest on just the wins, but we're learning from game to game."
The Spurs face the New Orleans Pelicans later today.
