Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has praised his side for working hard to sustain a third-quarter lead as they overcame the Milwaukee Bucks 104-91 on Saturday night.
The Wizards won out thanks to standout performances from Bradley Beal, who scored 26 points, while Wall also contributed 15 points and eight assists on the night.
"In the first half we allowed them to come back in", Wall told reporters after the game.
"The last two minutes our defense slipped. In the third quarter, we did a great job defending them from the start.
"We were able to knock down some shots and once we got a great cushion, a great lead, it was a great job by us sustaining that."
The win sees the Wizards sitting in second place in the Southeast Division with a record of 42-38 for the season.
