Team GB's Freddie Evans has beaten Canada's Custio Clayton on a countback after a tight encounter.
Evans came out strongly in the first round, combining jabs with harder punch combinations effectively and his dominant start was rewarded with a 7-2 in the opening round.
Evans landed an early right that forced Clayton to stumble before showing off his defence and counter-punching as the Canadian was forced to be aggressive.
However, the round went with a surprisingly high 6-3 margin in favour of Clayton, Evans taking a 10-8 lead into the final round.
Clayton needed the points and came out firing, which really opened up the third round into a brawl.
Evans continued to rely on his reflexes and counter-attacking as the Canadian attacked, and the third round went 6-4 in favour of the Canadian.
Evans shaded the win with a countback.
