Roberto Cammarelle struggles past Mohammed Arjaoui

Italy's Roberto Cammarelle is on course to retain his Olympic title by defeating Morocco's Mohammed Arjaoui in the super heavyweight division.

Italy's Roberto Cammarelle has continued his defence of his Olympic title with a one-point victory over Morocco's Mohammed Arjaoui.

A scrappy opening round ended with the scores level at 3-3. Arjaoui started the second round brightly by landing a massive right hand that wobbled Cammarelle.

The Italian's knees buckled, but he managed to hang on and regain his composure.

The Moroccan was warned a few times for throwing his shoulder into Camarelle, before finaly being publicly warned.

Cammarelle was getting the better of the contest but was only one point in front. A straight left jab from Arjaoui just warned the Italian to stay on his toes.

In the end, the Italian ran out a 12-11 winner.
