Richarno Colin of Mauritius has out-gunned Morocco's Abdelhak Aatakni in an Olympic light welterweight slug-fest.
Both fighters were busy in the early exchanges, but very few clean shots found the target, although it was Colin who was setting the tone.
The Mauritian was constantly looking to tee with the big right hand as the bout was being fought up close.
Neither man ceded control of the centre of the ring, going head to head and swinging in hooks with very little variation to their work.
The better quality was coming from Colin and he led by three points heading into the last.
Colin got through with a nice right uppercut and, all in all, deserved his 16-10 victory.
