Boxing judge CJ Ross steps down from post

CJ Ross steps down from her post as a judge following criticism of her scoring of Floyd Mayweather Jnr's win over Saul Alvarez.

Controversial boxing judge CJ Ross has reportedly decided to step down from her post.

Ross came under fire over the weekend after scoring Floyd Mayweather Jnr's clash with Saul Alvarez as a draw, despite 'Money' dominating in most people's eyes.

Mayweather won the bout with a majority points decision after Ross scored the fight at 114-114, and the judge has since decided to take a sabbatical, according to 8 News Now.

Ross, who has been a judge since 1989, was also criticised in June 2012 for scoring Manny Pacquiao's loss to Timothy Bradley at 113-115, despite many believing that the Filipino fighter had got the better of his opponent.
