WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly will now defend his title in America on November 10.
The Welshman had been scheduled for an October defence against Vyacheslav Uzelkov but has now changed his mind.
Cleverly, 25, will now fight on the undercard of the Abner Mares-Leo Santa Cruz fight in Los Angeles.
The show is being promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy promotions and there have been rumours that the fight will be against Bernard Hopkins.
"It's a dream come true to defend my title in America," said Cleverly.
"On such a big show, it will take my career to a whole new level. It's a golden opportunity to make a statement that I'm the leading man in this division.
"It will be exciting and challenging to get the recognition of the American media and fans."
He went on to say that he was disappointed about not fighting in front of his home fans in Cardiff.
Cleverly has fought in America before, beating Antonio Baker on the Joe Calzaghe-Hopkins undercard.
