Enzo Calzaghe believes that his son Joe would have defeated Carl Froch on Saturday.
The 36-year-old fighter from Nottingham won a controversial ninth-round stoppage against George Groves to successfully defend his WBA and IBF middleweight titles.
"Carl Froch has finally convinced me he is an average world champion," The Mirror quotes him as saying.
"All the hype was fake. No more talk about him boxing Joe. It would have been like a lamb to the slaughter."
Joe Calzaghe retired from boxing in 2008.
