Carl Froch believes that he is in the "best shape" of his career ahead of his WBC super-middleweight fight against Andre Ward.
As a result, the 34-year-old Nottingham-born fighter has insisted that he can beat his American opponent, who boosts an Olympic gold medal and an unbeaten record.
"I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed with what you see on Saturday night," he told a press conference. "I'm in the best shape of my life, it is as simple as that.
"I'm feeling sharp, strong and confident. Physically and mentally I couldn't be in better shape.
"There's a smile on my face because I know I'm ready and I know Saturday night is going to be night."
Froch has lost one of his 29 bouts.
