Ricky Hatton believes that Manny Pacquiao should retire from boxing because "his legacy is already secured".
The Filipino fighter was knocked unconscious in his bout with Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez at the weekend, but he has vowed to continue in the ring.
However, former world champion Hatton has joined calls for the former eight-division world champion to hang up his gloves.
"The only advice I could give Manny Pacquiao is that his legacy is already secured. The thing is with us fighters is that there is always one more fight," Hatton told reporters.
"What's he going to achieve by having one more fight? Probably nothing. He's an eight-weight world champion. There's nothing more to be said.
"You'd like to see him go into retirement and spend some time with his family and be happy. He can't do any more from a boxing point of view."
His mother Dionisia and wife Jinkee have also both revealed that they want the 33-year-old to retire from the sport.
