IBF light-heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins has insisted that he is not yet thinking of retiring from professional boxing.
Hopkins, who is the oldest fighter to ever hold a world title belt, has the opportunity to unify the decision when he takes on Beibut Shumenov next month, but he claims that he is looking beyond his next bout.
"I've got a chance to do something very special," the 49-year-old told reporters.
"I'm not done yet. That's where I draw my motivation, my inspiration. I'm trying to make history write another book on me.
"I understand the significance of this. I want to defend the title at 50."
A victory over Shumenov could set up a potential meeting with WBC champion Adonis Stevenson.
