Amir Khan has revealed that he hopes to fight Floyd Mayweather before the end of the year.
The British fighter was recently granted a rematch with Lamont Peterson after his title defeat in December.
"I have a ten-week training camp so I envisage the Peterson [rematch] to be in April or May, but my ideal opponent is Floyd Mayweather. Hopefully I can fight him before the end of the year," Khan told Sky Sports News.
Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao is thought to be mulling over the terms for a potential fight against Mayweather in May.
