Canadian lightweight Ghislain Maduma has revealed that he will enjoy stepping into the ring as the underdog when he faces Kevin Mitchell at Wembley on Saturday evening.
Maduma and Mitchell face each other for the right to compete for the IBF title, and although the Brit is considered favourite to inflict his opponent's first career defeat, the North American has admitted that he is motivated to cause a surprise in London.
The 29-year-old is quoted by World Boxing News as saying: "A lot of things will be different for me over there but I'm fully focused on doing my job. I'm bringing my 'A' game to prove that I'm one of the best lightweights in the world.
"I give all my respect to Mitchell. Everyone there will be thinking that he is going to win, but I'll be motivated to win as the underdog."
Maduma goes into the bout with 16 successive victories, while Mitchell has won 37 of his 39 professional contests.
