Floyd Mayweather Jr has suggested that Amir Khan should agree to face long-term rival Kell Brook in the summer.
Khan's team and Brook's representative Eddie Hearn are currently locked in talks regarding a showdown at Wembley Stadium on June 4, but as of yet, a deal is yet to be completed.
WBC champion Danny Garcia is another option for Khan, but Mayweather, who retired in September, feels that a bout between Khan and Brook would be "a good fight".
The 38-year-old told FightHype.com: "It's crazy how fighters seem to forget. This is the same fighter that was working in the boxing gym with my uncle Roger some years back and I was trying to help give him some pointers.
"I think he's a really, really good fighter. I think Danny Garcia is a very good fighter. I think right now for boxing, for the UK fans, Kell Brook and Amir Khan would be a good fight. Kell Brook, he's a guy that everyone is sleeping on."
Khan is due to return to the ring in March, as is Brook, who defends his IBF title against Kevin Bizier on March 26.
