Freddie Roach has been announced as one of the newest class of inductees to enter the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

The 51-year-old is considered one of the sport's most successful trainers due to his work at the renowned Wild Card gym. The American is currently working with champions Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan.

"I'd like to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, who voted for me and congratulate those inducted with me today," said Roach.

"I started my career in professional boxing with Eddie Futch and now we will be together, forever, enshrined in the International Boxing Hall of Fame with the greatest legends of the sport.

"I am truly honoured and humbled."

Other 2012 inductees include multi-division champion Thomas Hearnes and ring announcer Michael Buffer.
