Northern Ireland boxer Michael Conlan has said that he will throw away any medal that he wins at the Commonwealth Games unless it is gold.
The 22-year-old bantamweight unanimously beat Mathew Martin of Nauru and remains favourite to leave Glasgow as a Commonwealth champion.
"Gold is the only one I want - I don't want silver and I don't want bronze and I will throw them away if I do get them," he told the Irish Independent following the win.
The Northern Irish have one medal at the Games thus far following Lisa Kearney's bronze in the judo.
