British super-bantamweight Carl Frampton has beaten Jeremy Parodi after a sixth-round stoppage, retaining his European crown.
'The Jackal' remains unbeaten after an impressive performance in his first fight for eight months.
Frampton started confidently, catching his opponent with several left hooks to the body before upping the ante in the second round and letting his hands go.
The Frenchman was hurt in the fourth round as his eye started showing the effects of Frampton's right hand, but he continued bravely until the sixth when a body shot forced him to his knee where he remained for the count.
His latest win moves the Northern Irishman ever closer to a world title shot and he had a message for his rivals: "I have a message for all the super-bantamweights in the world. I'm coming for you."
A fight with domestic rival and new WBA champion Scott Quigg could be next for Frampton.
There is also the possibility of a rematch with Kiko Martinez, the man he beat in his last fight who subsequently went on to win the IBF belt.
