Boxer Clarence Goyeram has expressed an ambition to "become rich" after revealing plans to turn professional in the near future.
Goyeram advanced into the quarter-finals of the 64kg category at the European Games in Baku by beating Team GB's Sam Maxwell 2-1 in rounds.
The Swede now hopes to ride the crest of a wave into next summer's Olympic Games in Rio by winning gold in Azerbaijan.
"I am going for gold here and then after Rio I will turn pro," he told reporters. "I will have had 11 years as an amateur so it will be time. Hopefully I'll become rich.
"Maxwell is a great boxer. I lost to him two years ago. He is one of the best boxers in WSB [World Series Boxing] and is ranked third in Europe. I think I am ranked 19th.
"But I came here having won all four of my bouts in the Bundesliga in Germany from November to January so I was prepared and confident. I was very much in good shape for this tournament. People will have respect for me now."
He will face Viktor Petrov of Ukraine in his last-eight bout on Tuesday.
