Glenn McGrath has confessed that he fears the worst for Australia for the remaining Tests in The Ashes series.
The Baggy Greens fell 2-1 behind England after suffering an eight-wicket defeat at Edgbaston inside three days.
McGrath has admitted that he is worried for Michael Clarke's men because he believes that England will now focus on preparing pitches that are similar to the wicket in the third Test to bring out the best in their seamers.
He told The Telegraph: "I fear the worst for Australia because after the Edgbaston Test, England know what pitches to play on. At Lord's they were too focused on the opposition rather than the strengths of their own players, but they have sorted that out and Australia have a lot of work to do to improve how they play in these conditions with both the bat and the ball.
"If the pitch at Trent Bridge this week is similar then Australia have to adjust or it is over. They have played on two English style pitches in this series and lost both Tests. They have a lot of work ahead but can bounce back. They have done it once before. They can do it again.
"I did not think England were capable of coming back from the hammering at Lord's. I really thought Australia had broken through and would not ease up for the rest of the series. But this Ashes is totally impossible to predict."
The fourth Test begins at Trent Bridge next week.
