Australia one-day captain George Bailey suspended for Tri-Series England clash

Australia one-day captain George Bailey is suspended for the Tri-Series clash against England for his side's slow over-rate against India.

Australia one-day captain George Bailey will play no part in the Tri-Series clash against England on Friday as he serves a suspension for a slow over-rate.

The 32-year-old has been punished for his side being one over short of target during their four-wicket triumph over India on Sunday.

Back in November last year, Bailey was fined for committing the same offence in Australia's opening one-day international against South Africa in Perth.

Steven Smith is expected to take the captaincy for the match, but a replacement batsman will need to be called due to Michael Clarke and Mitchell Marsh carrying injuries.
