Sri Lanka are 80-2 at lunch on the first day of their third Test match against Australia in Sydney, with Mahela Jayawardene unbeaten on 30 runs.

Sri Lanka have headed into lunch on 80-2 on day one of their third Test match against Australia in Sydney.

The home side won the toss and elected to field, and struck when the tourists had scored 26 runs.

Dimuth Karunaratne was dismissed by Jackson Bird after he had scored only five runs, before Tillakaratne Dilshan went off to the fast bowler for 34.

Mahela Jayawardene and Lahiru Thirimanne are on the crease for Sri Lanka at the moment, having scored 30 and four runs respectively.
