Shane Watson available for first Test

Shane Watson will play for Australia in the first Test against the West Indies following the birth of his second child.

Australia will have Shane Watson available for their first Test match against the West Indies next week.

The all-rounder recently returned home from Indian Premier League duty due to the impending birth of his second child with his wife Lee.

However, with his daughter, Matilda, having arrived three days ago, he will now travel to the Caribbean to link up with his international colleagues ahead of the opening clash with the hosting Windies on Wednesday, June 3.

Cricket Australia have confirmed, though, that the 33-year-old will play no part in the upcoming three-day warm-up encounter against a WICB President's XI.

Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith and David Warner, all of whom played in the 2015 IPL, will also play no part in that match.
