An impressive unbeaten 89 from Shakib Al Hasan was not enough to help Bangladesh as they were declared all out on 203-10 against Pakistan on day three of the second Test in Dhaka.
Having resumed play on 107-5, some 450 runs short of their opponents' tally, the hosts were unable to truly cut the deficit as Soumya Sarkar was caught out by Azhar Ali early on at the Bangla National Stadium.
Shuvagata Hom and Taijul Islam were next to fall soon after, the latter failing to handle the bowling of Mohammad Hafeez to leave Bangladesh stranded on 140-8.
Matters improved little when Mohammad Shahid was himself sent packing after 47 overs, making Al Hasan's 89, which comprised 14 boundaries, essentially redundant.
Pakistan will now return to the crease for their second innings leading by 361 runs, with nine wickets remaining.
