Bangladesh add 90 runs before tea

Bangladesh reach tea on 150-2 after losing Imrul Kayes during the afternoon session on the first day of the first Test against Pakistan.

Bangladesh have reached 150-2 at tea on the first day of their first Test against Pakistan in Khulna.

The hosts made a cautious start to proceedings, closing the morning session on 60-1 after winning the toss and opting to bat.

After losing Tamin Iqbal before lunch, Bangladesh resumed the afternoon session with Imrul Kayes and Mominul Haque at the crease.

Kayes began the session on 35 and he soon made his way to his second Test 50 by taking two runs off a delivery from Mohammed Hafeez.

However, Hafeez brought Kayes's innings to an end on the very next ball when he caught and bowled the batsman for 51, leaving Bangladesh on 92-2.

Haque (35*) and Mahmudullah (31*) kept the hosts ticking over after Kayes's exit, with a partnership of 50 seeing them through to the end of the session.
