Moeen Ali reveals Suresh Raina inspiration

England all-rounder Moeen Ali admits that India's Suresh Raina inspired his attacking batting style during the fourth one-day international.

Moeen Ali has revealed that he tried to copy the batting style of Suresh Raina during England's fourth one-day international against India earlier this week.

The all-rounder was England's top scorer during their nine-wicket defeat on Tuesday, hitting 67 for the hosts at Edgbaston.

The all-rounder told BBC Sport: "Watching someone like Suresh Raina, they were in trouble and he came out and played the way he played.

"He took a few risks and they came off. He backed himself. I tried to copy it a little a bit."

Raina hit a century earlier in the series, which concludes when the sides meet at Headingley tomorrow.
