Stuart Broad believes that the wicket of Chris Gayle could be key to England's chances in their Super Eights clash with the West Indies on Thursday.

The Windies opener is one of the most feared batsman in Twenty20 cricket, having starred both at international level and in the IPL.

Broad has revealed that they plan to bowl aggressively at Gayle in an attempt to dismiss him early in the innings, as they did in their match at Trent Bridge this summer,

"Chris Gayle's an experienced Twenty20 cricketer," said Broad. "He knows his game, he waits for a few overs and then goes for it.

"As bowlers you have to try and get him out in the first couple of overs. We know he's dangerous but we've got a very aggressive bowling unit as well."

England also play New Zealand and hosts Sri Lanka in the Super Eights stage, where the top two from each group progress to the tournament semi-finals.
