England bowler Stuart Broad says that the national squad will sit down with Kevin Pietersen in the coming weeks for peace talks.

England bowler Stuart Broad has revealed that he and his England teammates will sit down with Kevin Pietersen to clear the air.

The batsman has been amid a rift between the national side and the England and Wales Cricket Board after sending text messages to members of the South Africa team regarding his teammates during their Test in the summer.

The 32-year-old was sensationally dropped from the squad but the prolific batsman is expected to be welcomed back into the side following discussions with the ECB.

"The only way to move forward is to talk about things," Broad told BBC Breakfast. "There will be a meeting with some of the hierarchy and we just need to lay some things out.

"I think that will be a really good meeting with most of the England players, and hopefully we can move forward and draw a line under the whole experience."

There has not yet been any indication as to whether Pietersen will be placed into the squad for the tour of India next month.
