England bowler Stuart Broad is a major doubt for his side's final Test match against India.
The 26-year-old suffered a recurrence of a heel injury in training that had kept him out of the side's final warm-up match before the series with India.
Broad's role in Nagpur is now in doubt having been sent for a scan on the problem.
A statement from the ECB on their official Twitter feed read: "Stuart Broad has gone for a scan on his heel. There will be a further update later today."
The Nottinghamshire man was dropped for the third Test in Kolkata, with Steve Finn being favoured to play instead.
England lead India 2-1 in the series with the final Test match taking place in Nagpur on Thursday.
