England have selected Essex batsman Tom Westley in their squad for the third Test match with South Africa.
A change was necessary due to the injury to Gary Ballance, and Westley comes in as a direct replacement and will make his Test debut at number three.
Middlesex's Dawid Malan also features in the 13-man group, and he provides an option further down the order should England decide to play an extra batsman.
Malan has already made an impression in an England shirt after hitting 78 on his Twenty20 debut against South Africa earlier this summer.
Keaton Jennings keeps his place despite a poor start to the series, while Mark Wood should take his spot in the side after a minor injury issue.
The two teams go into the contest - which starts at The Oval on July 27 - locked at one apiece after South Africa thrashed England by 340 runs at Trent Bridge.
England squad: Root, Cook, Jennings, Malan, Bairstow, Stokes, Westley, Moeen, Dawson, Broad, Anderson, Wood, Roland-Jones
