Kevin Pietersen has been selected by the St Lucia Zouks with the first pick of the Caribbean Premier League draft.
The 34-year-old, whose international career was ended by the England and Wales Cricket board in February, has been a top target for teams around the world, and this deal comes shortly after he was signed by Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils.
Pietersen's deal with Surrey means that he can compete in the CPL, which will start on July 5 and finish on August 10.
West Indies captain Darren Sammy and Australian Twenty20 specialist Brad Hodge will both play alongside Pietersen in this summer's competition.
Former England players Simon Jones, Owais Shah and Dimitri Mascarenhas were not selected in the draft.
