Matt Prior: 'Steven Finn unlikely to play in first Test'

England wicket-keeper Matt Prior admits that it is unlikely that bowler Steven Finn will play in the first Test against India.

England wicket-keeper Matt Prior believes that Steven Finn's absence from training indicates that the fast-bowler will not play in the first Test against India.

Finn has been struggling with a thigh injury picked up during England's first tour match and Prior does not expect the 23-year-old to feature in the Ahmedabad Test match that begins on Thursday.

Prior told Sky Sports News: "If there was a realistic chance of Finn playing, he would have bowled on Tuesday."

The Middlesex fast-bowler has taken 58 wickets in 15 matches for England.
