Lancashire Lightning have moved four points clear at the top of the North Division in their T20 Blast campaign after beating Durham Jets by 27 runs at Old Trafford tonight.
Openers Usman Khawaja and Ashwell Prince inflicted much of the damage during their innings, registering tallies of 44 and 43 respectively as the division leaders set a target of 164.
Despite the best efforts of Phil Mustard, who came within one run of a half-century, the Jets failed to reach their goal and lost some seven wickets on the way.
Kabir Ali was responsible for three of those, denying Mustard of his 50 before dismissing Gordon Muchall and Gareth Breese as Lancashire extend their lead at the summit.
