Former England spinner Monty Panesar has been released by Essex.
The 33-year-old initially joined the county on loan from Sussex in 2013 before making the switch permanent the following season.
He is one of four players who have been released by Essex, alongside all-rounder Greg Smith, bowler Matt Salisbury and wicketkeeper Saf Imtiaz.
Panesar, who has made just three appearance this season, took his 700th first-class career wicket against Surrey at Colchester last month.
Essex made him unavailable for selection earlier in the campaign because of issues off the field.
Panesar won 50 Test caps for England, with his last appearance coming against Australia in December 2013.
