Pakistan rally on day one against Australia thanks to Younis Khan century

Younis Khan hits 106 as Pakistan reach 219-4 on day one of the first Test against Australia in Dubai.

A century from Younis Khan has helped Pakistan to a score of 219-4 on day one of the first Test against Australia in Dubai.

The hosts slumped to 7-2 at the start of the morning session as Mohammad Hafeez was bowled by Mitchell Johnson for a duck before Ahmed Shehzad (3) was dismissed by Peter Siddle.

However, half-centuries from Khan and Azhar Ali saw Pakistan fight back to reach 125-3 at tea.

Khan's impressive spell out in the middle came to an end when he was bowled by Johnson having hit 106, while Misbah-ul-Haq (34 not out) and Asad Shafiq (9 not out) remained at the crease until the close of play.
