Dale Steyn has admitted that South Africa's bowlers are targeting Australian captain Michael Clarke.
Steyn delivered a fiery spell of fast bowling when Clarke came to the crease during the first day of the first Test between the two sides.
Clarke stood up to the barrage and went on to make a hundred in Cape Town.
However, Steyn is keen to continue to target the Australian captain for the rest of the series.
"We want to really come hard at someone like Clarke," said Steyn.
"He is a young skipper. That's the thing you do with any team if they've got a new leader in conditions that are pretty tough.
"When he came out there, we went at him hard. If you can cut the head off the leader, the rest of the body might fall apart."
Australia ended the first day on 214 for eight after South Africa had won the toss in the first Test of the two-match series.
