Sri Lanka in control against Pakistan on day three

Sri Lanka move 291 runs ahead of Pakistan at the close of play on day three of the third Test in Pallekele.

Sri Lanka have opened up a 291-run lead over Pakistan at stumps on day three of the third Test in Pallekele.

The hosts bowled out Pakistan for 215 at the start of the day before moving 175 runs ahead at tea with a score of 112-4.

Jehan Mubarak was the only wicket to fall during the evening session when he was caught off the bowling of Yasir Shah for 35.

The tourists struggled with the ball after that as Angelo Mathews (77 not out) and Dinesh Chandimal (39 not out) held firm to give their side a second-innings score of 228-5 at the close of play. The three-Test series is currently poised at 1-1.
