Darren Sammy happy with form ahead of Twenty20 World Cup

Darren Sammy believes that the West Indies are finding momentum at the right time ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup.

Darren Sammy has praised his West Indies squad for the form they have produced ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup, which starts in Bangladesh later this month.

A five-wicket victory over England on Tuesday earned the West Indies a series victory with one game remaining in the three-match series, and Sammy admits that it is pleasing to see the whole team contribute to their success.

"We wanted to leave here with good momentum going into the World Cup. For two games it has been a complete team effort, I can't fault the lads," the all-rounder, who struck an unbeaten 30 from nine deliveries, told Sky Sports News after the win.

"In Twenty20 cricket the momentum shifts at different times, we wanted to make sure we started well and we finished well too."

The West Indies are the current T20 world champions after winning the tournament in 2012.
