Italian cyclist Stefano Agostini tests positive for banned substance

Italian cyclist Stefano Agostini is provisionally suspended for failing an out-of-competition drugs test.

The International Cycling Union have announced that Italian cyclist Stefano Agostini has tested positive for a banned substance.

The 24-year-old has been provisionally suspended as a result of taking synthetic steroid Clostebol last month.

The Cannondale rider failed the out-of-competition drugs test on August 21, according to BBC Sport.

The Italian Cycling Federation are yet to decide whether Agostini has committed an doping offence.
