Great Britain win gold at the Track Cycling World Championships in Australia and set a new world record.

Great Britain's Men's team have clinched gold and set a new world record at the Track Cycling World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

The team, including Geraint Thomas, Ed Clancy, Steven Burke and Pete Kennaugh, managed to complete the circuit in 3m 53.295s beating the Australian team, who finished in 3m 53.401s.

New Zealand rode into third place, winning a bronze medal for a time of 3m 57.592s in Melbourne.

The victory will be a huge boost for the British team as they prepare to compete in the Olympic Games in London this summer.
