Chris Froome has praised the "incredible" crowds that lined the stage one route of the Tour de France in Yorkshire today.
An estimated 285,000 people flocked to Leeds alone for the start of the famous race, with tens of thousands more said to have gathered at the finish line in Harrogate.
Defending Tour champion Froome, who finished the race in sixth place, told Sky Sports News: "The crowds out there were incredible, absolutely incredible - second to none.
"The crowds out on the climbs were absolutely massive. At one point we only had about a metre and a half to ride on the road and I think we can expect the same [tomorrow].
"The crowds were well-behaved, good crowds. As defending Tour champion, it doesn't get much better than this."
Mark Cavendish suffered a nasty looking injury during the race, but fears that he had broken his collarbone were quickly played down.
