Phil Taylor has vowed to bounce back from his opening night whitewash in the Betway Premier League by returning to winning ways tonight.
Taylor, who lost 7-0 to world number one Michael van Gerwen last week, faces Adrian Lewis in the second round of action, just days after beating 'The Jackpot' en route to picking up the UK Open qualifying title.
"I'm really looking forward to playing Adrian," Taylor is quoted as saying by the Stoke Sentinel. "The weekend was great for me. It was brilliant to win Sunday's qualifier but the weekend as a whole did me the world of good.
"After the game we've just had on Sunday I'm looking forward to playing Adrian again on Thursday - he knows what he's up against!"
Lewis began his Premier League campaign by defeating Simon Whitlock 7-1 in Liverpool.
