Phil Taylor and James Wade have both progressed through to the third round of the UK Open.
Sixteen-time world champion Taylor comfortably recorded a 5-1 victory over Kevin Dowling to book his place in Friday's last 64.
Wade was required to play three times on Thursday night after being drawn in the preliminary round, and he began the tournament with a 5-2 win over Robbie Green.
The left-hander then won 10 legs without reply, comprehensively defeating both Matt Gallett and Wayne Jones.
Elsewhere, Ted Hankey and Jelle Klaasen qualified for the third round, but there were two surprises as Dean Winstanley and Justin Pipe were dumped out of the tournament.
