Michael van Gerwen has progressed to the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship with victory over Gary Anderson.
Last year's beaten finalist got the better of his Scottish opponent 4-3 in a thrilling last-16 contest, averaging 102.2, hitting seven 180s and 21 ton forties.
"I came back very strong and I know I can do that," Van Gerwen told Sky Sports News. "I was struggling but in the end I played really well. At the beginning he didn't miss and by the end I didn't miss."
"I've let him off - it should have been wrapped up," said Anderson. "If that's the best of him, now then he's got a lot of work to do. I'm sick as a pig. Michael knows himself he should have been out."
Two-time former world champion Adrian Lewis also won on Saturday to reach the last eight, getting the better of Mervyn King with ease in their last-16 tie.
The two-time former world champion averaged 91.17, but that still proved to be enough for him to win the contest 4-1.
Lewis will be joined in the quarter-finals by James Wade, who eased past Devon Petersen of South Africa 4-0.
